Fragmented and localized capacities in basic and translational research activities on placenta-derived stem cells hamper competitiveness and do not fully benefit from available resources, including the human ones. Mobility programmes in education demonstrate the need for, and the success of exchanging scientists.
The objective of IPLASS staff mobility is to contribute to strengthening the worldwide capacity and competitiveness of placenta-derived cell research in several related fields such as, for example, cell biology, immunology, cell banking, cell therapy, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
IPLASS adopts two strategies to facilitate the movement of scientific staff at any level of seniority. For young researchers, IPLASS advertises and finances exchanges between member laboratories; for PhD students, post-docs, senior researchers and other laboratory staff members IPLASS provides an on-line service of job offer advertisements.
